Who is Gratitude Girl?

During the early months of the COVID-19 pandemic, I started practicing daily gratitude as a means of reducing the stress and negativity that had crept into my life. I started by writing daily affirmations and goals into a journal and doing lots of what I call "meditative walking."

Fast forward to a summer day when, as I was walking around my neighborhood, I contemplated the chaotic state of the world. I thought to myself, if only there was something I could do to help people and bring light and hope into the world. Light and hope that I believe are so desperately needed during a time when mental health issues are rampant across the U.S. due, in part, to the social isolation that was brought on by the pandemic and most recently, the prevalence of social media. As my mind wandered, the idea of Gratitude Girl was born, with the mission of growing gratitude globally and giving back.

Gratitude Girl (G.G.) is not only my alter ego, but it is also a symbolic representation of the inner child and gratitude that lives within all of us. When I suit up as G.G., I strive to produce entertaining and educational videos detailing the random things in life that I am grateful for.
